Jesse has been playing and writing music since he was 8 years old. Starting out on piano, his interest in computers and programming in high school collided with his music interest in the mid 80's with the release of the Yamaha DX-7. He still uses his DX-7II as his main synth, but he also has another 80's classic synth - Roland D-50 along with several other modules, drum machines from the 90's and 2000's. He also plays bass and drums.

With the acquisition of Ribbit in 2018, a 2004 Jeep Wrangler TJ, Jesse has enjoyed going to several off road parks in the Texas and Oklahoma areas. Starting with a clean canvas, he has installed many upgrades such as lockers, custom steering components, under frame armor, and a custom built Ford 8.8 rear axle. For a short wheelbase on 35" tires, there's not too many places Ribbit can't go. There are several videos on his YouTube channel showing him having fun on the rocks.

In 2024, Jesse set up his studio to record/release at least 1 song per month. Here are the songs that did get released to all of the streaming platforms (Spotify, Apple, Amazon, YouTube, etc). In Septemeber with the release of The Silent Invasion, he started on an album project. As of February 2026, 5 tracks have made it to master production - 4 of them currently unreleased. He currently has 3 others in various stages of writing/completion.

Living in the Hill Country of Texas just outside of Boerne (pronounced like Bernie) has been a great change from living on a postage stamp of a lot in San Antonio. No need to find a place to store trailers, nobody to complain about the ham radio tower, and most importantly - no HOA! 5.6 acres nestled between two hills where Jesse plans to enjoy his retirement in a few short years.

W1BBT Current radio status:

Jesse uses a Yaesu FT-991a in the shack for both digital and SSB activities. He uses WSJT-X Improved and his WSJTX-Relay to feed GridTracker to send QSOs to QRZ and ClubLog, openHamclock for visualization, and World Radio League CAT Control for pushing QSOs to that platform. When he does POTA activations, he has a go kit that includes a Yaesu FT-891 for HF and a Yaesu FTM-300DRASP for VHF/UHF contacts.
